Today dawned cool with a little breeze so I sanded the scale off my troop seats and side racks then mixed up some 24087 Gillespie. Took some adjusting of the paint thickness for the spray gun to get into gear but once I dialed it in I was able to get two solid coats of paint on the primered bed along with the aforementioned seats/racks. Of course I got too slow with the gun in a spot or two so I have to work the runs out. I also missed a couple of spots that I didn't see until after I'd cleaned up the gun so I'll likely mix up a bit more tomorrow, sand out the runs then redo those spots along with my thin areas. All in all it looks very good given all of the character marks that remain intact. I've got about 5 more days before it gets too cool to paint so I'm doing all that I can within my window of opportunity.
I'll get some pictures posted in a day or two.

Gary,
It sounds like you have been making some good progress, can't wait to see the pictures.

Thanks! The primered bed pix are in my older post below, at the bottom of the posts, Bert. Sure is quite a contrast going from gray to OD!

Keep at it. I'm doing the same, painting until the weather turns. It looked like I was done for the year last weekend, but it's looking like a dry stretch coming with decent PM temps in the 60's. I'd prefer 70's but that won't happen until next spring.

Thanks Sal,
That's the correct 24087-the sun makes it look brownish, combined with the off-color OD on the front half accents it even more.
