Any one have a part # or specs for the alignment tool that I can use at a local parts store?

Any auto supply will have a universal alignment tool kit; however the input shaft from the transmission can't be beat for this purpose. Much more precise than a universal tool; it's what we use all the time.

Just finished hanging the pressure plate and clutch disk. Used a length of 3/4" steel rod to align the disk while tightening down the bolts on the pressure plate. Then I mated the tranny with the engine. All went together slicker than snot. Might not be "the" most correct way to do it but worked for me.
