CHECK N FILL

The gear lube is there just the 1 plug in the pumkin or is there a way to drain and then Fill . :oops: :?:

Hi Anthony,
There is a drain plug at the bottom, and a fill plug on the side. Fill it to just below the level of the side plug.

You should also know that the drain plug does not offer a complete drain because it is not at the low point of the housing. It leaves approx 1/2 pint of fluid that can't be drained. If there is water or debris in the housing; it will remain and will contaminate the new oil immediately as any water will be on the bottom. A little extra trouble, but the smart thing to do is remove the differential from the housing and give it a good cleaning before adding new oil. You can also do a visual inspection to be certain that anything you can see is up to par. Drill and thread a new drain plug hole at the low point at the same time eliminating the incomplete drain issue in the future.
