If you are referring to the 3 sided gasket that seals the 2 independent windshield assemblies to the main frame, then the flap/seal is mounted so it angles (and presses) downward (inward) to form a tight seal against the frame. The seal ,when properly installed, will prevent the assemblies fron "sinking" into the openings. If the seal is backwards you will pull it and the assembly too far into the opening. If that's what you are referring to.
