Just adding to an old post to share info. GM D60 cut down on both sides to allow 13-13/16" inner axle on pass side and 28-3/8" on dr side to tuck HMMWV wheels on dually hubs inside fenders. Also, GM iron spring plates do weld easily. Use steel and add shock mounts and front crossmember needed modified 2" narrower for crossover steering clearance using reverse rotation 1978 Bronco p/s box. I did a 2" front spring lift, but should have more to increase suspension clearance and allow PTO shaft for winch greater clearance from drag link (suggest bent drag link to avoid bump steer).
