dodge m37 regulator harness
hi,does anyone see a problem in putting the ground cable for the regulator haness under the oil dipstick bracket at the head ??? thanks
Re: dodge m37 regulator harness
The next head bolt forward of that one would be easier. It only has two tube clamps on it.

Re: dodge m37 regulator harness
thanks for the reply but i'm curious why alot of people do it this way when the manuals seem to say run the cable to the frame rail wich seems like a far better ground source to me,thanks
Re: dodge m37 regulator harness
When the engine, body and frame are properly married together electrically (Well Grounded to each other) as they were when new then the correct or stock locations for grounds will usually work. As the truck ages, corrodes, gets repainted many times over it looses this quality grounding system. A lot of folks will move grounds to the item that carries the large power consuming electrical units like the starter to insure the things like the starter will be well grounded and turn over the engine quickly. This is called applying a band aid to a symptom rather than addressing the real problem, bad grounds.
