Power steering box help ?

Every once in a while, with the Dodge steering box conversion, a customer will have problems with when cranking hard to the left, the pitman arm will hit the bracket and restrict the travel.
I know this comes up from time to time, but what has anyone done to remedy the situation ?
Do you dare heat and bent the pitman or somehow extend the arm ?
Why this happens with some boxes and not others is unknown.
