fuel gauge sender

well got the wiring finished on the fuel sender toay and the gauge will peg full when grouned so looks like the sender is shot are these repairable? the float moves freely and the gears turn, new is too $ for now at $95

they can be but one i had an est for was more than that, however dont get rid of that one the orignal gear oper. ones are way better than the cheap offshore repros. bobs speedometer service restores all kinds of gauges an senders if you want to price yours

A tank sender from a M151 will work just fine in a M37, same hole pattern and depth of tank. New sender from RAPCO part (for example) is $39... They do have the rubber connector on them so if you are running an older style wire harness with the metal shell connectors you will have to change a wire end or make up a pigtail...

I tend to replace the dead senders in trucks I work on, it's a lot less time consuming for me... :)
