Long trip today...

Post by Tyroma »

Hey Gang...

Took the M37 to MoparFest today - Canada's biggest all Mopar show - Moparfest.com

It's about 45miles one way...lots of hills...arg! Truck ran well...temp never climbed over 175 degrees. I got SWARMED when I parked it...unlike the States, us Canadians don't get too many old military vehicles at shows. People had lost of questions, and I did my best to educate on the history of the vehicle. Even met a guy who was assigned to one in the 60's in the Canadian Forces Base in Germany. He even got a bit sentimanetal when I let him climb in behind the wheel.

Gotta do a bit of after trip maintenance, but overall, she did really well!

And there is the finest part of this or any other hobby, bringing interest and happiness to others, it is definently what keeps me going with all I do, wether it be MV's, Amateur radio or Quad biking.
Enjoy giving others enjoyment!!

Best Regards - MM :-)

Sounds like a great time. Nothing like that first long roadtrip. Post some pics when you get a chance :)

Glad you had such a good time. I really enjoy it when vets come over and tell stories about M37s. I have started to collect some Vietnam era items and display them along with my truck, it's all part of the unique history of our vehicles.
