where is the serial number located on the m 37
where is the contract number located

Hi Colt,
Serial number and contract number should be on a data plate on the dash, or glovebox door, cant remember. The frame should also have the serial number stamped into it, left front rail I believe. You may need to clean it off really well, sometimes the numbers are not stamped in very deeply.

The # on the data plate is not the whole VIN#. That is simply the sequence of manufacture, the entire VIN# is only in the frame rail.

Some early trucks did host the full # at both locations, however most do not have the complete # except stamped into the rail. We see one once in a while like that, but really not that often.

54 is not very early for an M37. Perhaps the shorter number is a M37B1 thing?
