Winch question....

Post by refit1701 »

On my USMC truck with the winch, I want to remove the cable before I take it off the truck. This winch has been sitting for who knows how long and the contol handle on the front is stuck. The truck is not currently running.

What's the best way to free it up so I can get that cable off? Remove the drive shaft from the PTO....????

Thanks and OUCH! Ok, that job will need to wait until I move the truck to my new house in July. It's just more learning and experience.....

That's some great info! I haven't fiddled with mine yet-that'll wait until I get back from Topeka....
