lamp numbers?

Post by Joe »

Does anyone have a list of the numbers for the lamps used in the stock 24V M37? I'm going to a couple of surplus places and I want to gather some spares if I can find the right ones. Here's one that I know of:

Signal Stat 90x turn signal switch - 3ea #307 24V lamps for pilot lights in housing. WRONG! See Below.

Are you sure they use 307's? they are a big lamp (2" long).

BO Marker, tail, hi beam indicator and instrument lighting. 1251
Stop 1683
BO driving ORD# 4511989 or ORD# 7765209
Headlamps 4860 or 4863 (You can also use the civvy 24 volt bulbs with three metal screw tabs 4800 by making adapter leads.)

Your right, Cuz. Nice catch! I was in a hurry and got the wrong number. 307 is what they recommend for a front marker light when using a dual filament tail light and a single filament front light. The correct number for the signal switch pilot lamps is #356 for 24V operation. FWIW the proper flashers for 24V operation is a #120.

The 307 at 21 CP (candle power) is not as bright as the 1683 which is 32 CP and is way brighter than the 1251 which is 3 CP.

We have many new bulbs that have been removed from new lights for the purpose of converting to 12 volts. I'll let you have some at a good price, if interested send me a PM.
