Mystery object that came with my M37

Hope someone here can help me with an object that was in the bed of the truck I got. If you go to my pics (Phillip's) it is pic number 428. I am going to try to attach it here. Thanks in advance.

Perhaps a small compressor of some sort? :?
Clean some of the paint off the data tag, and it may tell you.
