Side and Top Upper window framework rubber...

Post by Cal_Gary »

What do you recommend for sealing these in place? I have the metal strips cleaned out and new rubber to go in, and want to be sure they stay put.
Thanks,
Gary

weatherstip adhesive

Post by rtkjmk »

:D I would use a little of good old 3M yellow weatherstrip adhesive. Just remember that a little go's a long way . Auto body supply or NAPA should have it, comes in a tube .

I used contact cement to hold mine in, worked, until it got real cold, then a couple came loose.

ADHESIVE

Post by 8543bob »

GOOD MORNING. THE BEST ADHESIVE I HAVE USED IS 3M 5200. I USE IT ABOVE AND BELOW THE WATER LINE ON MY BOATS. IT NEVER GIVES UP. SO IF U PUT IT ON ITS FOREVER. GET THE QUICK SET. THE REGULAR TAKES ABOUT A DAY AND HALF TO SET UP.
