wc52 information
I am presently considering buying a wc52 that has been made into a crawler with big tractor tires and only the original frame with engine and hood and windshield, and of course the winch... My question is if parts are pretty available to try and restore or am I better off trying to part it out.. the mechanics are ok, and the winch.. I restore and have jeeps and m37's and a M43, Just no experience in this model and still trying to decide to pull the trigger and buy the WC.. Any idea as to possible worth of the vehicle? I know its hard without pics and I do not have them yet, but if I buy it I will post some.. thanks
buy and restore old jeeps & trucks & mostly military and sell cheap when they are finished...
Good morning! Vintage Power Wagons has WC 52 parts:

Those are getting hard to come by so if you have an opportunity to rescue it, I'd recommend giving VPW a call first to see how extensive their parts availability is. Also note that some of their prices are higher than one might expect, but they are reputable and I've made several purchases from them for my M37.
Good luck!

Man, that is a tough one ! If you are missing the cab and rear bed. It would be very hard to do anything with that except make it a parts vehicle.
The body, and especially the bed are hard to come by. It would possibly be easier to come up with a restorable truck with the body, than try to find the pieces that you need one at a time.
I have restored a WC-51, pics can be seen on my web-site.

wc52
thanks for the info, I am leaning on buying it as it is 1000.00 and it does include 4 tires on rims besides the tractor tires on it... I guess there should be some interest in the engine, data plates frame and windshield to pass up the initial investment, I just hate to part something out, I would rather try to restore it but it is missing alot and actually boogered into a mud runner type and I am not into that...
