Hub change?

Post by palmczak »

I have a 63 M37B1. Is there a compatible set of hubs (and related brakes) that would allow more wheel and tire choices?

I am needing tires now, I am sure the rims all need blasting and painting as well. This led me to start thinking about custom wheels to increase my tire choices. Then the possibility of changing the hub and related parts came to mind. It would be great if a more common LUG pattern and brake setup could be fitted fairly easily, increasing the choices of wheels and tires.

thanks in advance.

Joe,
If you want to change hubs, you're going to have to swap axle assemblies altogether. This could involve new spring perches, steering mods, and other major driveline modifications.
If you're interested primarily in expanding your tire options, you can go to www.usa6x6.com and look at the adapters that would allow you to run humvee wheels and 16.5 inch tires.
Hope this helps.
