-1 degree here in Colorado

Post by Milsurp »

I figured it's just going to get much colder by morning. So, I bundled up and went outside to start her up.

1. Pull choke out about three inches.
2. Turn ignition switch to On position.
3. Depress starter pedal.
4. She fires right up.
5. Switch on electric fuel pump.
6. After 15 seconds, push choke in two inches.
7. After one minute, puch choke in all the way.
8. Let her idle for about three minutes.
9. Turn on headlights.
10. Pull out of driveway, turning heater on after 10 minutes.
11. Drive around town for 30 more minutes.
12. Return home.
13. Put her in neutral, turn heater off.
14 Let her idle for one minute.
15. Turn off electric fuel pump.
16. Turn off headlights.
17. Turn ignition switch to Off position.
18. Place transmission in 1st gear.
19. Pat dash with my hand and think to myself, "Yes!"
20. Go inside, pour myself a glass of bourbon.
21. Logon to M37 Registry.

Dang I love my M37.

Always nice to get a "blow-by-blow" account of an historic event! Feels good to be part of history, doesn't it? :)

Lifer, yes, it sure does! As I've mentioned before, she's my daily driver. I won't part with this one!
