Re: Grandpa’s M37
Can't take any credit for the frame, except maybe hiring the right outfit to blast and paint. I suppose stripping it all down helped. Glad I went with semi-gloss instead of gloss. I do like the contrast of the new fasteners, been thinking about painting them when its all done but i can't decide.

Nice work. Really looking good.
Same question here on the fasteners. I decided to paint mine as the truck is going to get driven in the mud and snow once in awhile, and those nice fasteners (even plated) won't look good for long. But if you're going to garage keep it, and drive it only on nice days, the shiny fasteners will look good for much longer (unless you live too close to the ocean...)

Hi John, hope all is well!
@Greeno, Lizard Skin is a coating that allegedly keeps shiny metal shiny forever-almost like a clear coat. Sounds like a good choice on your rivets.

Been waiting for the cab, engine, and front bed panel. Got another bedside done. Time to pull anchor!

Hottest day of the year…time to hunker down in the garage and do some MIG welding. Not my finest hour(s) but I’m done.

Progress…took a break from body work and tore into front axle.
By the way...leaving the front box panel until last is not the way to reassemble. Royal PITA getting it back together, I thought I was being clever with some shims but that didn't work. Also, in general, looks like you have to put the front, two sides and bottom together and then put on the support rails. I've got two holes in the corner that are inaccessible from the underside to put a nut on. I guess they are drain holes now.
