Re: R2 crash truck
Front drive shaft has Bow Tie shaped flanges on both ends.
The transmission to transfer case shaft has Square flanges on both ends.
The rear drive shaft has CV joint flanges on both ends.
What have they proposed to correct this for you?

Re: R2 crash truck
The unit is in and their a 5 hour drive away. In contact with them now. They did take the shocks back. Research lead to m-37 shocks do not fit an R2. Much larger. This truck is giving me fits. Now the disk brake conversion from helitool doesn't fit the front. Contacted them as well. Hope to have answers this week. Reply is slow my computer died. Needed a new one. Need to vent this project is frustrating the
out of me.

Re: R2 crash truck
Got the brakes worked out. I'm a bone head. Shocks installed. Prepping new fuel tank. 35 gallon one. Vintage contacted me back. Left with questions on that. Looking for Ford Zf 5 speed. Like finding the city of Atlantis around here.
Re: R2 crash truck
New update pics. Shocks, power steering, brakes, tank install started.

Re: R2 crash truck
Looks like you are making good progress now. What is the fuel tank from? Will it fit into the original tank area without a bunch of modifications?

Re: R2 crash truck
Tank is from a bronco II. It's close but i will raise the rear floor over it about 3 inches.Outside of the truck is what I'm trying to keep as close to original as possible. This wont affect the way it looks. Just allow a 600+ range when driving her.

Re: R2 crash truck
What are you doing for steering? is that the stock column? What are you using for the pitman arm? Have my axle conversion figured out, now trying to decide which way to go for steering.
Re: R2 crash truck
Power steering conversion kit from snake river. http://www.snakeriver4x4.com/ . Reuse original pitman arm. You can go with a replacement steering column they sell. But, I kept stock. They will machine one of the uni joints to fit the stock column.
Re: R2 crash truck
Found a zf transmission. Now to get all related parts and get in the truck.
