Indeed, what is the deal of cuting the frame? they could simply grind it. Anyway, production af all these trucks begun in the spring of 1950 and ended winter of 1968. For production related information check in this very site the entries that you will find at www.g41.org . Regarding the number on the cab, send a line to robi(where it says robi, monkey man on the posts) he knows a lot, and perhaps he could pinpoint where that number is, if your truck has it. What are your plans for this truck? :)

Hi every body again. The chasis has not been cut for sure, only the vin number has been removed with a "radial" ( sorry but I do not know the name of this machine in english).

Answering to sotven, good question, Well I really do not know what to do with the m37. I love military old cars, as you can see in my firm, and I do have space as I have a farm, but my problem is that I do not know mechanic to made the restoration by my self, and other wise it will cost lots of money. On the other hand, there is the legal problem, it is no clear at all that the dodge coul be legal again to run in the roads, because it has been bought in a scrapyard, an it is very difficult to legalize here in spain.

I bought it because it was in the street, the price wasn´t too bad (1.500 euros plus transportation to home 400 euros) and I knew that there was more people interested in it, so at first buy and then think. But my first intention is not to sell it.

Ill keep you informed

Well I understand about the legal issuses, that how it is in Greece as well. On the other hand, not knowing about mechanics would not be an issue if the truck was all original. I am not a mechanic either, but m37s are probably the easiest vehicle to fix and maintain without many specialty tools. I believe that the Land Rover engine will not be a big hassle, it is just that we can not help you with that. If you can not get plates, in my opinion do not put much money to it. Make it drivable, and enjoy it in the farm or on any offroad place that you can get far from roads and highways. In any event, good luck with it. :)
