Well, the Maintenance truck is the M201 and the Tow truck is the XM711.... Most everyone here also knows about Ed Anderson AKA XM708 and his dumper....

According to notes that I have, the Navy/USMC purchased 130 MB2 crash/fire trucks made by Gichner Iron Works on the Dodge M56 chasis...
As stated above, the USAF contract (including prototypes) was for approximately 312 R2's.

I happen to be restoring a XM708 dumptruck and am working on creating pages detailing it.
A buddy of mine used a XM711 in Vietnam as part of the evaluation of the vehicle and since then has run a towing/recovery company. I've only seen four of them in person but never had a camera with me when I did...so no pages on my site for them... :(
