What wheels?

Post by bigbee »

Josh,
do you have any side pics of the wheels on your new axle set up? One of the comments I keep hearing is "those wheels won't look right on a M37. It's gotta be Budds or Combats."

Death wobble. Thats a good one. My dads old scout did it, my W200 ambulance did it, My 51 Willys did it. In all 3 cases it was bad shocks. Here's the scenario: One tire hits bump and jumps into air. Tire comes down and on straight axial lifts other tire up. Process repeats in an endless feed back loop. Yes there are other things that can cause it, but from experience I would check the shocks first. If they pan out continue the hunt.
Good luck...John

Oh yea the steering stabilizer is still a good idea I got em on everything.

Just a thought

Went out and did a quick look at my W200's Dana 44. The spring perch is off to the side of the pumpkin. Perhaps it would make an easier swap??? Just a thought.

It would, but, nothing looks quite as mean under an M as a D60... well, abye rockwells

Those are the only pics I have, sorry. I think they look jsut fine. Budds would look better, but the steelie dog dishes certainly dont look bad.
