Hey Guys. Since your on the subject of holes in the cargo box, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what these holes I have on the angled top rails of the side panels ? :?:

Clamps for cables that were run along the rail.

Antenna cables. Or if the truck towed a trailer mounted generator for powering a large radio set then it could be for the power cables. The problem with trying to positively ID holes drilled in military vehicles 20 or 30 years later is simply the futility since they could be for anything. Having spent 2 in the Army and 20 in the Air Force and used a lot of vehicles during those years I can assure you when I needed a hole to mount something I didn't go to the motor pool NCO and plead for permission. I just put the hole where I needed it.

That's too funny but so true... Field modifications... :lol:

I don't think I had any extra holes beyond the ones for the antenna mount... I just couldn't figure out what mount I needed I was thinking it was the one for the M151 but the center hole was off center... I'll have to look for one of those receiver/ transmitters, would be nice to have but I'm sure they are highly sought after...

Ah the fun of summer is coming one thing's for sure when I'm behind the welder it sure takes the sting out of that summer sun... Have to get the truck into the side yard and start installing patch panels... :D
