Carter wrote:Sorry I didn't see this earlier  but I don't post much over there now that I had a disagreement with a moderator over posting links to my webshots albums instead of on their site which, for me, is slower than webshots. Not much M37 activity on SS unlike here on Robi's site :D
This is news to me, I have had no such issues yet anyway? I'm sure they all lurk on other pages, so be careful what we say? Big bro might be listening/reading? I've had webshots for longer than I can remember, probly 10 or more years?

Webshots can only be downloaded to the Webshots Desktop Client that you install on your computer. This makes accessing and downloading photos impossible for other folks unless they join Webshots and install their system's Desktop Client. That is the most likely reason a web site moderator/manager would advise against using it to avoid the hassles with that just as large group out there that do not use Webshots. I do a ton of photo moving and manage two web sites with forums and I run into reference photos posted from Webshots about 1 in every 10. I advised my forum customers to load their photos on a host site that is free, has provisions for public viewing and requires no special or inique to that site programs for downloading.
