The truck is looking good. Great workmanship, it will be a real monster  Makes me want to get another rig to tear into soon . Keep up the good work and the updates. :)

As long as the rear pinion seal is good, and the U-Joint not over greased, the oil cooler should be good there. Otherwise it might get oiled and filled with crud.

well I mounted the tranny cooler. I also mounted a shield under it to protect it from debrie and oil as W_A_Watson_11 mentioned. Thanks for the tid bit.

You can see the box liner covered the floor very well.

I am starting to like the color. I think the contrast with Black will go very well. I think the boys at Khaos Kustoms did a very nice job!

Now off to build the exhaust......

HMMM... FOR SOME MYSTERIOUS REASON, I THOUGHT YOU HAD DECIDED TO GO WITH "CUMMINS BEIGE" ON THE EXTERIOR???. ANYWAY, THIS YELLOW-BLACK CONTRAST LOOKS NICE!!! IS THIS LIKE A "CATERPILLAR YELLOW," OR IS IT THE PICTURE THAT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE SO?

I was jealous at first when I thought you had a spray booth in your garage then I read the rest of the post.

That color really stands out, I can't wait to see the finished truck.

The yellow looks good. How much air flow do you think the oil cooler will get in that location? I like that idea but I'm not sure it will get a good amount of airflow to make it useable. I'm not knocking what you did your work is great, I'm just wondering that's all.

I can see a fan under it in picture # 2 of the oil cooler.

The oil cooler does have a fan. There is a better picture of it on Page 9. This is not a cheap unit so I sure hope it works. Everyone I talked to and everything I have read about it says it should be ample. If i drive at 70 mph in overdrive, I may get much more heating of the oil. It is not a lockup tranny. I calculated 70 mph in OD engine will turn at 1500 RPM. If it heats to much I'll just have to run in direct.(3rd) . I guess time will tell. So far I've been building the exhaust and I am almost done that. Then to put in the 4wd shift cable some wiring and then drop the cab on and start wiring up the dash. Still missing 4 gages though.......

The exhaust is done

Image

the front pipe is half the old one and half my custom piece.

Tail pipe is totally my creation.

Image

ground the welds off a bit

Now the exhaust is done I'll install the transfer case shift cable and lift on the cab! It's starting to look like something.

Very nice work on the exhaust. It's always a great feeling to see it coming together.
