E-e-e-ew! Not good! Not good at all! Sounds like you may have thrown a piston rod. :(

I can't stress this enough, heart breaks like this are typical if you don't check things out before making assumptions. Know the condition of that engine before you hit the road, (COMPRESSION TEST & BE SURE THE OP & TEMP GAUGE READS CORRECTLY). The majority of the time these 3 very simple test will properly warn you of issues & save an engine from totally thrashing itself.

The funny thing is I don’t even have it on the road yet I was getting it running. but that’s ok obviously I was supposed to do something else with it.

Bubba, Sorry to hear about your engine  Where there any warning signs?Unusual noises, a sudden drop in oil pressure? Or did it just let loose? Pull the oil pan and let us know what happend.

I smell a V8 swap in your future. See my thread in the Gen discusion, I've got pics of mine with the sheetmetal pulled away.

sorry the old 6 blew up... Mine did the same thing. You could always do a slant six, if you wanted to keep it "more original"
