Ok... My truck use to be a zoomy truck (Air Force)....and it was that gosh awful blue all over it. (Sorry Lifer just not a fan of that color.) As some of you may know I'm not rebuilding my truck to original condition, but building a concept vehicle based on a theory of what if the truck had stayed in service much like the M35s did. Anyway I was going to paint the truck three color nato cammo, but to me the M37 just wouldn't look right painted with that pattern on it. So I thought that maybe just the one color flat CARC (color only) or nato camo base color green. But the more I've thought about it the more I want to pay a small tribute to the trucks history. So to make my long question longer......what is the color of the OD used on modern Air Force trucks? To my eye it is different than 34079 forest green and it is not the base green used on Nato camo....to me it looks like a flat version of semi gloss 24087. Does anyone know the color number?
After some research I have decided that the color show above is 34102. Dark green....so to give a nod to my trucks air force past that is the color I am going to paint it.
