1953 M-37 "Fiona" For Sale

Post by investig8 »

I've decided to sell my beloved "Fiona" as I have an M-38 that is in pieces in my garage and I am dying to start the restoration on it but as many of you know, being retired creates budgetary issues for toys! :D

She has been approximately 95% restored. The frame has no rust and was pressure washed, wire brushed and coated with a rust inhibitor before being painted. The body was disassembled, and each piece sandblasted, primed and painted in 2020. The truck is the original 24-volt system with new batteries. The engine is the original flat-head, 6-cylinder, 230 cu. in. engine coupled to the original 4-speed manual transmission and 4-wheel drive transfer case with HI / LOW ranges. The drive train has not been touched with the exception of new U-joints. The odometer shows 8912 miles. During reassembly, new master brake cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, hoses and lines were installed. An entire new wiring harness was installed with directional indicators. The points ignition was replaced with electronic ignition components and the vacuum wipers were replaced with electric. The radiator and fuel tank were professionally cleaned, vatted and tested prior to painting and reinstallation. New tubes, flaps and tires were installed, along with new windshields, a new canvas top, and new seats. The body has a few minor blemishes in the form of small dents & wrinkles, and the bed floor needs to be replaced. The front drive shaft has been removed because truck is always operated on paved streets. Receipts can be provided for documentation of work completed on this truck.

The truck runs, drives and stops as it should, however, it won't set any land speed records. The vehicle has won several awards in numerous area car shows, including "Best Truck" and "Veteran's Favorite". The vehicle is currently registered and comes with a clean Texas title. Email for many photos.
