Rope tie down on canvas top

Post by j mccormick »

I just got a new canvas top and need to know the best way to run the rope on the back grommets to the tie downs on the body. I got it tied down but it doesn't look as neat as I think it should. It seems like there should be more tie downs.

The cabs came with different numbers of tie-downs. I do not know why, but know what you're talking about. I think I added 3 extras to mine in order to clean up the look.

Thanks Cal Gary for the reply. More tie downs would help a lot. I don't have the racks on my truck so they're always visible except behind the spare tire mounted in the bed. Joe

PS magazine had some good articles on the tie-downs.

A little more secure method.

Great post, I've seen many different attempts to tie them off correctly with a multitude of knots involved, the diagram above is the way that I learned and still use to this day.
