This should be very silly but I cannot figure out properly how to mount the mirror arm. I have the one sold by Midwest.
I've used the search engine here, and either there are no pictures on threads talking about it ( ), they have been deleted or are very blurry/small. Christ, I've even searched in Steel Soldiers and same thing. I'm going insane.
The mount from Midwest seems to be straight forward but I want to prevent any problem when the can support is arriving.
Can people post pictures and give a measure with regards to the door's side?
Thanks.

Your cab is missing the two 7/16" fine nuts in the location of your bracket.
Maybe lost in the bodywork restoration?
Feel around inside the body and see it they are there, just filled in with Bondo.

Re: Passenger side mirror, mounting pics needed.
There are supposed to be 2 threaded inserts in the body. Not only for the mirror, but also to hold the deep water fording intake pipe.
"It may be ugly, but at least it is slow!"
Re: Passenger side mirror, mounting pics needed.
No thread inserts. We spent a couple of minutes there looking, checking, analyzing LOL!, trying to "feel" the steel and nothing. And this side of the truck was not replaced.
Anyways, per Andy's photo we measured and will align next for drilling.

Re: Passenger side mirror, mounting pics needed.
I wonder if they were deleted in later trucks for cost reduction. A bunch of goodies disappeared on later trucks to cut cost. What year is the truck?
Re: Passenger side mirror, mounting pics needed.
1952, I don't think too much changes are there.
