I'm sure this has been asked b4 but after some searching, I am unable to find it.
I need to remove my battery box. I've managed to get the tray up (4 bolts) but for the life of me I cannot
figure out what is still holding the box in.
Help appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Battery Box Removal
Hello and welcome!
Depends on the condition of the truck. If bubba drilled and mounted extra bolts through the bottom, that's a possibility. Roll underneath to find out.
If extremely rusty, the metal box may have fused to the floorboard. Generous amounts of solvent might break them apart.
Keep us posted!

Re: Battery Box Removal
Ah, so you're saying once the 4 bolts for the tray are removed, in theory, there should be *nothing* holding the battery box down (neglecting mod's by Bubba)?
Re: Battery Box Removal
It's out!
I knocked it around a bit (battery box) with a piece of timber to work it loose. Now time for cleanup (rat nests etc).
Thanks for the help!

Re: Battery Box Removal
Not fubar. Some wire wheel work, some hammering, and a bit of paint should b sufficient. Thanks for the offer.

Re: Battery Box Removal
FYI, my spare battery box now has a new home so it's no longer available.
