All good now, not too cold, so after running my engine with the valve freed up, with lots of spray combustion cleaner and some Seafood on them from the side cover off the past few days, buttoned it up, put the splash shield back on, hooked up the wiring I had to disconnect to get that out and back in, and filled not quite to the mark on the filter with 2 cycle oil, and it started right up and purrs like the proverbial kitten. Two cans of Seafoam in the tank, until I get the other fuel system cleaner. I am just so glad it only cost me a single gasket, and some grimy hands, and not more.

Would be a good idea to use some sort of anti-varnish fuel system cleaner in our trucks.
