Line Clips

Post by greeno »

I couldn’t find anything posted, probably because I don’t know what they’re called. Looking for the flexible metal clips to organize the fuel, brake, and wiring. Everything I find online has two holes, looking for single mounting holes like stock.

I am not sure what you are seeking, something original to the trucks and the time, or more modern fasteners for wires and hard lines. The only original "clips" on my truck are the OEM clips that hold wires at the connection, on the inner front fender panels. When I did my hard fuel, vent, and brake lines, I used modern rubber insulated steel clips, either the thin flexible ones, or the more robust steel ones, both with a softer grip lining I got them in assorted sizes from Pegasus racing. For my wires, I drilled and tapped wherever I needed for stainless screws (bolts, 10/32 thread usually) and then attached a nylon clip that uses a wire tie. I almost always ran my wires thru several different kinds of outer plastic or nylon wrap or covers, Jegs and Summit. For hard lines I either reused the steel wire protective hard line cover or used new Ebay similar products. When I add things to my truck, I am very carful to think thru any place there might be a wear and then short. Sometimes I run my. wires thru small diamer rubber or silicone hoses for protection.

But for quality race and automotive stuff, look at Pegasus Auto racing. They have every thing. NV

Fair point. Here’s a pic. The ones at Pegasus have holes on each end I was looking for a match to this:

Oh, now I see, you need the "hooks" to hold wires and such. I think your best solution would be to get the lightweight ones, and cut off the end of the look with the hole, and they would approximate the old OEM ones. I am away for a week from my home and would post a pic if I could. Let me see if I can find a pic of what I mean. NV

maybe you can make this work thus:
