I have a 1951 M37 in a trailer, since 1970. The engine was over revved, in 1969. The wrist pin scored a cylinder wall.
I need an interim engine for 2 years, which runs well?
I also need a good machine shop and/or engine builder for the OEM engine.
e-mail works best as I work out of state, and I review e-mails when I return.

Re: WTB - gooding running 230 engine - M37
Where are you located? I'm in VT
I have a 230 that will be coming out of my M37 this winter (replacing it with a 251). I'm no engine mechanic, but I drive the truck regularly, and it has been running well for me. Leaks a bit of oil, but starts when I want it to and gets me where I want to go. It's not original. It may be an old industrial engine, but it fits and it works. It's a little loud at present due to a blown gasket in the exhaust manifold.
