four weeks out from a knee replacement, which is going well. I have pushed my recovery relentlessly, and now can walk normally. Just some ache at night. Yesterday, unwound my cable from my winch, as the clutch is frozen locked, with my daughter pulling the cable out with me in the cab. In a few weeks, when I can handle the wt, I am taking it off and taking it up to Charles T's place for his rebuild. I just used it as a decoration until I had to use it winch out of mud with my grandson a month ago. I figure if I had to use it once, may someday need it again. I have looked at video's of winch rebuilding, but my winch's clutch rod is loose in the clutch, and I cannot pull the halves apart. I thought about pulling the rod out, but considered that some part may fall into a place and lock the halves together. But hot here in UpState SC so not out much at all, and not done any shooting or reloading for awhile. We are going down to our cottage on the beach by Charleston later today, then this weekend, to Hilton Head for the wedding of our daughter's friend. Becky worked for a few years in the wedding business, and is helping out her good friend.
Anyway, all good here, just waiting for the glorious fall and winter to come. Then I will be back out in my garage and at the ranges. My prostate CA is still in remission, so every day is a blessing. Stay safe, in all these weather and troubling times for our Country. HC
You bet, and we are all tired of it! For awhile you go out in the heat and humidity and work, but near the end of summer you just reach a point where you are fed up with it.
Hi All,
FYI, I reached out to Tim yesterday to ensure all is ok. He and Lori continue to soldier on with some health issues, but Tim let me know they are doing the best they can during these tough times, and that Tim misses us and thinks of us often!
