Tire pressure Michelin 11.00R 16 ?

I'm curious what tire pressures people are running with Michelin 11.00R16 XL tires on their M37 trucks. I bought "Brutus" last September from a guy who told me he generally ran 35 PSI in them because he liked the ride. However, when I got the truck home and checked, 3 tires were at 50 PSI, and one was at 45. I have not really played around with different tire pressures yet. For most of my road running, I left them at 50 PSI. Yesterday I tried 35 PSI on forest trails with a light load.

If it makes a difference, I'm generally running unloaded at up to 40 MPH on paved or dirt roads. Occasionally, I'll have a load of firewood in the back. I do also run up and down forest trails in my woods. Trails are in decent shape: dirt/grass/rock, but generally require 4WD (and usually I do 4WD-low range).

What works best for those of you running 11.00R16 tires, and under what conditions are you driving?
