Had to laugh when I saw your PCV plumbing plugged off-mine is the same way, and while I have the parts I just haven't gotten around to installing them.

Re: New member - 1952 M37
Exterior is basically now done - all stencils added

Also, fixed water temp - replaced gauge but new one didn't work; however as it pegged to the right highlighted problem was either
sender or wire - fitted a new direct wire and began to work.
As always, onwards and upwards.

Ben,
You truck is really coming along well! I am amazed how you are able to work in that garage of yours.
I noticed you mentioned that you had left the PCV system plugged because it "was found to introduce problems". I'd suggest you hook it up. You don't need all of the fording valves, just use a simplified system. This will keep your engine oil and internals cleaner and reduce sludge in to engine.

I wish I had the time and drive to make the progress you've made in such a short time, Ben-well done!

Andy, tell me more - this is how I received the truck. What is supposed to be connected to where - can you point me in the direction of the relevant manual?

To be fair I am very lucky that my partner and daughter are so understanding. I also guess I have an OCD ... I need to get on and sort any issue / problem / task that I know needs doing.Cal_Gary wrote:I wish I had the time and drive to make the progress you've made in such a short time, Ben-well done!

I even dream about solutions

Brilliant, will study and work out what I need to do, thank you. Received my heat shield today to go over fuel pump so will cover with modern heat reflective sheets. Also still to reroute the pump to carb pipe and add a fire sleeve. The UK doesn't get quite as hot as the states but still worth doing.ashyers wrote:Ben,

Attended a show this weekend gone. Truck went down really well - some chap said it was by far the best and most
intresting vehicle there.
However annoyingly I must have done something wrong when fitting the fuel pump and found i had an oil leak - will resolve shortly.

I hear yah! We have just had the second wettest Feb on record for my area and one of the wettest Dec - Feb periods as well. The temp has hovered around 45 - 50 (7 - 10C) in my shop. I work some in there on the warmest days. I am thinking March will be better. Cheers! Not much to report, waiting for the good weather...

Send some of that rain our way! The weather here has been beautiful, but we're going to pay for it in the summer with wild fires if we don't get some rainfall.
