just spoke with Tom at T&N. He said he's heard of this problem and if it's the case on my pump, they'll just make me a new diaphragm assembly. Fortunately he's just a few miles south of me so I'll pull off the pump this weekend (after performing the other tests people have suggested) and bring it down to him next week. I'll let you know what comes of it.knattrass wrote:Oh no.... I just had 2 pumps rebuilt by T&N.... we have the fuel tank pulled and can't test run. Do you think this is a problem with T&N?
Suspected fuel supply problem-truck won't stay running

UPDATE
Folks,
I took my rebuilt pump down to Tom at Then & Now on Friday. What a guy, he dropped what he was doing to go over my pump and quickly discovered the likely problem, I only had one linkage arm connected on the diaphragm that requires two. Tom had the entire thing apart and back together in about 30 minutes with all new parts.
With crossed fingers I put the pump back on Saturday and the truck fired right up! So mercifully it wasn't a clogged fuel line or an out of spec diaphragm backer plate. I was in hog heaven driving the truck all around the woods and fields all weekend.
Now on to the brakes.......
Thanks for everyone's suggestions and support.
