12/24v Bulbs

Post by M376X6 »

I thought about this after seeing another post with a WWll taillight mounted on an M37. I sometimes hook up my M101 trailer to my Dodge Cummins and use it to haul stuff. I made an adapter to go between the standard M series trailer connector and the connector on the Cummins. This way I can hook the trailer wire to either an M series truck or my Cummins. I keep both 12 and 24 volt bulbs in plastic ziplock bags and will interchange them depending on use. There are common 12 volt bulbs that can be directly installed in place of the 24v bulbs.

There is a series of military gauges that are electronic with what appears to be an internal regulator. When I get the chance I plan on experimenting with them to see if this series will work with a 12 volt system. This would make them ideal for someone who is considering converting their rig to 12 volt.
