My first pics

Post by Josh »

Finally got it down here. Ended up having it flatbedded. I couldnt do it any cheaper myself. The rust on the body is pretty substantial, but, the stuff underneath is mostly surface. A good sandblast and repaint will fix it all. Thank god I have my rust free AZ body! It has holes in the body all over that weren't there when I parked it!!!!

Glad your rig is home. As you said, nothing a little blasting and new paint won't cure. Enjoy! :)

What kind of chassis is this rig sitting on? It doesn't appear to be stock....

stock frame, not so stock driveline. 360 V8, NP 435, NP205 case, and Dana 60s. Only stock drivelien part is the radiator. I got tired of constantly working on/spending money on the stock driveline. The D60's were the best mod Ive done to it.

Two things...first you need to change your sig line unless you miss your truck in the garage...lol.

Second can you tell us what you had to do to swap the D60s into your truck?

yup, need to change the sig now... The driveline plan has changed as well!

I'll take some pictures of the dana swap. It's pretty simple really. Rear will bolt right in, all you need to do is cut some schedule 40 pipe in half to make a "cup" around the axle tube to increase its diameter from3, to 3.5" like the original axle tubes. The front is a bit ore involved, teh hardest part being the passengers side spring relocation outboard of the frame rail. There is a thread in the technical discussions area where I wrote a detailed repsonse to how to do the swap. It really is not very difficult though, and is the best mod I have done to the truck. the stock axles suck.
