Okay I broke down and got an ARB Air Locker for the rear of my M37. Maybe Charles will chime in.
I was reading the installation instructions and it says to use different bearing rollers and cones. It calls for 33821 and 33891.
The ones that came off were 705776 and 706880. I compared the height of the stock core sitting on the work bench and the ARB core and it looks like the ARB is a little shorter.
Just trying to confirm that I will have to source the new bearing rollers and cones?

Re: ARB Air Locker Question
I think I answered my own question.
The modern Timken catalog lists the specs for the 33891 but not the 705776.
So poking around on the internet I got to WBParts web site were it lists NSN numbers. There it listed the 705776 and a cross reference.
And guess what, 33891 is a modern Timken cross ref for 705776. So I can use the bearings I have.

Re: ARB Air Locker Question
A friend of mine and myself have installed several ARB's and used the original bearings with no issue.
Providing of course they were usable.
If not then we replaced with the same.

Re: ARB Air Locker Question
All the bearings on the old diff had rust with pits. When I got the tuck it came with extra bearings. So I have enough to use on the air locker diff.

The pinion inner bearing takes a special pulling plate which I have from Bob Stahl.

Re: ARB Air Locker Question
I'm sorry I don't have a picture.
It is a round heavy plate with tangs cut in the center hole.
You start it at the pinion gear end and roll it up to the bearing.
The tangs allow it to spiral up the teeth to the back of the bearing.
Then grab the plate with standard puller.
Hopefully your following my description?
The side carrier bearings just use a standard split puller.
Actually going to help Doug install a ARB in a friends M37 Sunday.
