Pretty brakes!
Got my rear brakes ALMOST done. (I know, I need some pads, and maybe a brake line or two)

Re: Pretty brakes!
Wow, I am impressed. What an engineering feat to accomplish them. And here I sit, wondering if I have the courage and ability to even remove my drums to see what is inside my own brakes.

So, where would a guy go to get the hardware for a disc brake set up like that? Did you fabricate the parts needed yourself?
Or is someone currently making them for sale? I have some spare hubs, and access to a machine shop...

Wow, that is a very beautiful job, I have Ray's kit, just afraid to start something I might not be able to finish.

Re: Pretty brakes!
I have had Mr Suiters kits (front and rear) for several years - before he moved to Thailand- and just now getting around to doing it. The only hard part is removing the rivets in the rear brake plate. I decided to do a ground up rework of the truck and it seemed to be the right time to get to it.m-37Bruce wrote:Wow, that is a very beautiful job, I have Ray's kit, just afraid to start something I might not be able to finish.

Re: Pretty brakes!
I have a full set (Front & Rear) that are currently installed on an M43 chassis, and almost not run at all, If someone is interested in them? I live in Durango, Colorado. PM me with questions.

What do you think?
I have decided to use some MRAP taillights, what do you think? These are military, but not sure what they came off of, but they are sold as "MRAP" assemblies . Aluminum housings, made by Hella. Not sure where the orange part of the lens (turn signal) needs to be- inboard or outboard.
