Nice 1954 M37 For Sale, Lots of extras - Pine, Colorado

Post by sbaumgartner »

Hi Folks,

I used to be an active member on this forum when I first bought my truck several years ago. Unfortunately, it's time to let my M37 go. I've done quite a bit of work to this truck and have several detailed pics and videos of the vehicle. I also have a ton of extras that go with this truck and think it would make a great parade truck or part of a militaria collection. I would like it to go to someone who really appreciates these vehicles and would like to keep it as original as possible.

$10,000 OBO based on condition and all the extras.

And here is a link to a 10 min video of me talking about and driving the truck.

Specs:
14,255 original miles
Good running original 230 CID engine, never been opened, starts every time, good runner
Colorado truck, very little rust. Truck was painted with thick coat of primer red when I got it. I sanded the paint down to the original black primer, found the original Serial number and repainted with the correct numbers.
Rebuilt carb
Rebuilt mechanical fuel pump
New fuel tank sending unit
New wheel and knuckle bearings
Rebuilt front knuckles with new seals
Diff gear oil changed
Transmission gear oil changes
Regular oil changes every 6 months with Zinc additive
I’ve only out about 200 miles on this truck in 9 years, mostly used for cruising backroads and 4 wheeling on my ranch
Flushed radiator
Replaced freeze plugs
Five NATO NDT tires
Set of four original military NDT tiers and one spare.
Correct paint — did archeology on the paint exposed on the radiator and found the correct paint through Radco. Have several gallons of the original paint for touch ups.
Replacement repo canvas top and seats
Heater
Front locking hubs
Rebuilt master brake cylinder
Four new brake cylinders on each wheel
New brake pads

Extras:
LU4 winch and cable, winch frame extensions and two brackets. Winch needs new seals
PTO — correct housing but gears will need to be changed to mate up with M37 transmission
PTO shaft
Working Collins R392 radio, 24 volt power wired up
Correct radio mount
Radio antenna
Period correct fire extinguisher
Period correct militaria
Waterproof distributor
Ladder
Southwind Heater

Issues:
Fuel pump priming handle doesn't work
First gear is a little sticky

Feel free to email me with any questions, to see more pics, or to setup an appointment to see the truck: steve.baumgartner@mail2web.com

Thanks,
Steve

I'm a few grand short of your asking price and your somewhat close to me, id like to have a 2nd truck. It looks really nice.

Hi Jay,

We should talk. I'd be willing to sell things separately. Shoot me an email: steve.baumgartner@mail2web.com or call/text: 303.594.5024

Steve,
Would you be willing to part with the radio separately?
Two things I have always wanted in mine for shows and parades were a correct radio and an M14!

Sure, I'd be open to that. I also have an M14 (M1A1), but I don't think I can part with that ;) Shoot me an email and let's work out details. steve.baumgartner@mail2web.com

Bump ... Still for sale. There's been some interest in a few of the parts (distributor, radio, etc). I'm willing to separate and entertain offers.

Thanks,
Steve
