I've heard that the top bows may be tied down in the bed of the truck, but have been unable to find instructions or a photo showing how this is done. What do I need (straps, buckles,?) and how do I arrange the bows?
With winter coming and hopefully some rain on the way I need to get the truck ready.

Here is a picture that I took at the IOLA WI show last August.

And a link to the whole thread since there are several M37 pictures. http://www.g741.org/PHPBB/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7345

Hi Guys,
So where does the long wooden stick get stored that runs down the middle of the bows when they're up?
thanks,
bob

Re: How to secure top bows in the bed?
Bob,
I am not at my truck and don't have a pic... so this is from memory but I saw somewhere that the top center ridge pole has a bolt hole on or near the center. The center vertical metal piece that holds the boards above the troop seats has a hole in it and a captive nut welded inside. You can see the one on the passenger side on the pic above. The long board sits on the edge of the rail/top edge of the bed side and a bolt goes through it and into this captive nut into the vertical metal post. (on drivers side) Maybe you can figure it out from that.
