Wheel Offset on CUCV Axles

Post by NCM »

Hello everyone. I found an M37 for sale with several modifications, including CUCV axles. One thing I don't like is how much the wheels stick out with the new axles. Have any of the guys who are running D60s/14bolts experimented with wheels with greater offset? I'd like to know if it is possible to get the wheels back under the fenders for a more stock look. Thanks in advance.

I think you could use a wheel with a larger backspace thus moving the tire under the fenders, but I believe the problem comes in the front that the deeper wheels hit the steering components thus causing problems. You need to measure to see how much backspacing you can have without hitting the steering components.
