Traveled 100 miles in 2 hours. The truck ran well and we just hung out in the slow lane. The orig. plan was to take back roads, but the traffic was light so we stayed on the freeway.

Nice campsites and SHADE which proved a real necessity.
It may be hard to see, but there were some nice Dodges present, with some other goodies too. There were 4 M37's in attendance, but only 3 in the photo. One rock crawler, one modified truck, and two stock trucks.

Our first time on the trials in the M37. We just went slowly and allowed the truck to crawl along. This seems to work pretty well.

The truck and it's passengers made it to the top with no issues :)!
Jim,
It's in Hollister Hills SVRA, just east of Gilroy. It's a beautiful area and the trails were great fun.
I have no off road experience, other than mountain biking, so I approached it in a similar fashion. Just tried to pick lines that wouldn't get me in over my head and crawled along. Seemed to work well. Hilde did some driving too and really enjoyed it. There's something to be said for ground clearance, large tires, 4wd, and low gears. We had a great time!
Hollister Hills SVRA? I know the place! Went there a few times back in the '70s. It used to be privately owned back then. Last time I was there was about 1980. Very fond memories from camping there. I've not seen the place since. It looks like you had a really fun time! thanks for the pix.
