Hi everyone.
I'm not a newbee with MVs I've been in the hobby for 25 years and have owned many different vehilces, but never owned or played with an M37 and I'm thinking it's time I got my hands on one and started learning about them...hence I'm on this list now. My questions have to do with the axles. Who made them? Is there a Dana Number for them? Everything I've read seems to indicate that they were an M37 only part is that true? Were they used on civilian Dodges and if so for how long?
Any help in educating me would be very helpful.
Thank you,
Joe

Newbee Axle Questions
M37s are HMMWV in my world!
Joe,
They use the same right front inner axle as the WDX-WM300 One Ton Power Wagon from 46 to 68.
Both front outer are the same.Left inner is different length.
They use a Tracta Joint in the knuckles which is the same.
They use the same Dodge 9 5/8 diff. frt/rear. 5.83 ratio.
All knuckle parts are the same. Tie rod Ends, same, rest of the steering is different.
Rear axle shafts are of different length.
Hubs,brakes,drums are the same.
Hope this helps,
TGP
