U JOINT

IS THERE A NUMBER FOR THE FRONT U JOINT FOR THE DRIVE SHAFT TO THE PUMKIN,AND CAN IT BE PICKED UP AT ANY AUTO PARTS STORE ! { I've found some little slop in my front joint ] the slop I found was not foward to back - but - and up to down while under the front end :?: :cry: ALSO THERE IS NO CLUNKING AT THIS TIME hope I caught it in time . :wink:

Precision #304 at NAPA. Is this up & down motion at the u-joint or at the slip joint? It usually isn't a good idea to change out just 1 joint, do both at the same time is the best policy. Wear in the used one you leave will beat the new one to death a lot fast than if you start with 2 tight joints.
