Anyone know how to remove the transmission boot from the trans tunnel?

If it has petrified, you will need to destroy it and buy a new one.

If it hasn't, you should be able to gently pry it out. You could also remove the tunnel cover and push it thru from the bottom side.

I just replaced mine after a Transmission Rebuild.

I have a NP 88950 so I purchased the miniature "Top Hat" from Vintage Power Wagons.
It fits nicely since it's actually pliable.

My Floor gasket crumbled around the Tower Base.
I bought one of those too from Vintage, although I suspect that there must be after market ones out there.
I just never stopped by a Tranny shop to ask..

It sure looks good once your plate, tower and gaskets are all painted & in place.
:)

We even fixed the Transfer Lever "weather" gasket on the floor plate using a Rubber Stair Runner from home depot.
Cut it using the pieces from what was left of the original.
Looks like new.
