Source for pan head bolts

Post by m37jarhead »

I'm looking for a source for pan head bolts that hold down the floor pan of the bed on my M37.
They are pan head, 5/16" x 3/4" national fine, phillips head. I need 20 or so..... used
if you have any laying around or advise source on new.

I checked local hardware stores.... close but no cigar.

Thanks,
Jerry

These pan heads are flatter and the head is bigger around then what I found in hardware stores.
The diameter of the pan head is a tad over 5/8" .
A pic probably wouldn't hurt. Send to m37grunt@yahoo.com if that is convenient.
I've got plenty of nuts, so that's not a big deal.
Thanks,
Jerry

MWM has reproduced the bed hardware. Pricey, but correct.

(And I had the only M37 in the Phoenix parade yesterday. neener, neener.)

Check with Tom @ Snake River 4x4, I think he has them in quantity and is closer to you for shipping...

Edit: Just checked the Snake River 4x4 site, he doesn't have the bed screws but does carry washers and some other M37 goodies...

MWM does have them in stock.

The floor screws are in stock and NOT pricey. .40 ea. These are custom made and not commercially available. I had
to make 20,000 of them to get them done.

Jerry;

Check your TM9-8031, starting on page 417 you will find where the pan heads are installed in the Body of the Box and panels. With some more research you will find that these pan-heads are used thought out the body of the truck. I bought 80 of these screw from John at Mid-west after talking with all the other suppliers. John's copy of these screws is good, I just wish some one would copy and supply the Square Periphery Washers for these screws

I believe you can buy smaller quantities of the shakeproof periphery washers thru McMaster Carr.
Huge catalog online.
